Engagement: Rebekah Lynn Currier and Joshua Franklin Miller

Dr. and Mrs. John Miller of Seneca, S.C. are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Joshua Franklin Miller to Rebekah Lynn Currier of Allison, Iowa.

The bride-elect is the daughter of John and Debbie Currier of Allison, and is a graduate of Appalachian Bible College and a certified nurse’s aid.

The groom-elect is a 2003 graduate of Oakwood Christian School, a 2007 graduate of Appalachian Bible College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies at Bob Jones Seminary.

He is also currently serving as music director at Harvest Baptist Church in Anderson, S.C.

They are planning a May 17, 2008 ceremony at Grace Baptist Church in Waverly, Iowa.

Engagement: James Stone and Lisa Gilliam

Lisa Gilliam and James Stone, both of Westminster, S.C., are pleased to announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Donny Gilliam of Townville and Janice Gilliam of Westminster. She is employed with Oconee Medical Center in the Human Resources Department.

The groom-elect is the son of Mendel and Linda Stone of Westminster. He is self-employed with Stone Farms, Inc.

The wedding is planned for October 4, 2008 at South Union Baptist Church.

Engagement: Raymond Michael Waller Prock and Kathryn Girardeau

Jim and Elaine Prock of Seneca, S.C. are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Raymond Michael Waller Prock of Marietta, Ga. to Kathryn Girardeau of Mableton, Ga.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Joesph and Anita Girardeau of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Jane Girardeau and the late Dr. Joesph Girardeau and the late Charlie and Hop Pop Hopkins. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and is completing a Master of Education degree at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. She is employed at Whitfield Academy in Mableton.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Raymond and Peggy Prock and Mike and Estelle Waller.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science Management from Clemson University. He is employed as a scheduling consultant for Project Services Group in Lawrenceville, Ga.

The wedding is planned for May 31, 2008 in Atlanta, Ga.

Engagement: Valerie N. Nichols and Lt. Benjamin J. Wilson

Mrs. Teri Stephens of Westminster is proud to announce the engagement of her daughter Valerie N. Nichols to Lt. Benjamin J. Wilson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Dianne Russom and the late John L. Russom of Westminster. She is a 2003 graduate of West-Oak High School and is an assistant manager for Arby’s.
The groom-elect is the son of Teresa Wilson and the late Phillip Wilson of Franklin, N.C. He is a graduate of Daniel High School and a 2002 graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Elementary Education. Lt. Wilson is currently serving in the U.S. Army.

The wedding is planned for June 21, 2008.

Wedding: Truesdale

Wedding: Jenna Land Powell Truesdale

Jenna Land Powell of Seneca and Philip Stephen Truesdale of Seneca were married on April 5, 2008 at Pendleton United Methodist Church in Pendleton, S.C. with Reverend Harry Gindhart and Reverend Mike Wilson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curt Powell of Seneca. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Romaine Powell, Sr. and Mrs. R. H. Land. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Clemson University. She is a fourth grade teacher at Walhalla Elementary School.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip D. Truesdale of Hilton Head. He is the grandson of Mr. Philip A. Truesdale and the late Mrs. Vilma Page Counts of Columbia, S.C. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Clemson University and teaches middle school math at Simpson Alternative Academy in Easley, S.C.

Mrs. Marjorie Rozell, friend of the bride, of Piedmont, served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Melanie McMinn of Charlottesville, Va.; Ms. Julia Rochester of Easley and Ms. Laura Ann Rukat of Clemson.

David Truesdale, brother of the groom, of Charlottesville, Va., served as the best man. Groomsmen were Bradley McMinn of Charlottesville; Matt Mills of Grand Forks, N. D. and Joseph Powell, brother of the bride from Seneca.

After honeymooning in Nevada, the couple will reside in Seneca, S.C.

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Walker of Kendall, N.Y. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Kerrie R. M. Walker to Zachary A. Roach of Seneca, S.C.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Kendall High School, received her Bachelors of Science in Horticulture in 2006 and a Masters of Agricultural Education in 2007 from Clemson University.

The groom-elect is the son of Michael Roach of Jupiter, Fla. and Martha Henderson of Seneca. He is a 2003 graduate of Seneca High School and will receive his Bachelor of Science in Turfgrass Management in May 2008 from Clemson University.

The wedding is scheduled for July 5, 2008 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Seneca.
