Wedding: Anne-Ross Cornwell and Colin Barry Edwards
Anne-Ross Cornwell and Colin Barry Edwards, both of Atlanta, Ga., were married on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church in Atlanta officiated by the Reverend James Thomas Richardson. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ross Cornwell Jr. of Clemson, S.C. and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Bryan Martin Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ross Cornwell Sr., all formerly of Anderson, S.C. She is a graduate of Clemson University with a BA in psychology and is an elementary teacher for Teach for America in Atlanta.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Leonard Edwards of Dallas, Texas and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Arey Dull Jr. of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Mrs. Leonard Harden Edwards and the late Mr. Edwards of Dallas. He received a BA in business from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Georgia State University. He is in commercial real estate development with Sullivan Wickley Properties in Atlanta.
Johannah Leigh Cornwell, sister of the bride, of Atlanta, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Carolyn Edwards of Dallas, Jennifer Knipe Geer of Atlanta, Karen Elaina Harrill of Charlotte, N.C., Katherine Rogers Herndon of Lexington, S.C., Meredith Scott Lummus of Columbia, S.C., Kate Emerson Pennington of Nashville, Tenn., Amanda Giles Pouch of Greenville, S.C., Marian Claire Pouch of Charlotte, Elizabeth Wilson Ragsdale of Greenville, Mary Frances Ross of Charleston, S.C. and Karen Frances Durham Trapnell of Atlanta. Mary Martin Armstrong of Greenville served as junior bridesmaid.
Conrad Carlen Edwards, brother of the groom, of Dallas, served as best man. Groomsmen were John Boardman Banks of Greenville, William Carpenter Bouton of Greenville, Brooks Waldner Flynn of Atlanta, Townes Boyd Johnson III of Greenville, George Asbury Lawson III of Nashville, Robert Gregory Mautz Jr. of Cornelius, N.C., David Hill Roe of Greenville, Richard Preston Wendell of Columbia, Ryan Alvin Wilson of Lakeland, Fla., Christopher Ryan Young of LaJolla, Calif. and Marcus Alexander Young of Atlanta.
Ushers were William Henry Pouch III of Greenville and Scott Montgomery Cornelson and Campbell Bolt Cornelson, both of Greenville. Acolytes were Henry Shaw Cornelson and Michael Tiernan Armstrong Jr., both of Greenville.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Foundry at Puritan Mill.
After honeymooning at Snow Mass, Colo., the couple resides in Atlanta.
