SKI MECHANICAINTENANCE TYPE: FULL TIME YEAR ROUND
Ski Mechanic/Maintenance Type: Full Time Year Round Benefits: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 401K, Vacation Time, Sick Time, Paid Holidays Summary Ski Mechanics ensure the safety and reliability of our lifts by monitoring, maintaining and repairing lift equipment in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations. Ski Mechanics are also responsible for working on the snow makers and groomer as well as some other additional maintenance items during ski downtimes. The ideal candidate holds a competent mechanical skill set and demonstrates an ability to positively work as part of a larger team. Responsibilities Maintain and repair all equipment, ranging from conveyors and quads. Duties during winter operating season include regularly scheduled maintenance, pre-operational, mid-day, weekly, and monthly inspections as well as responding to equipment breakdowns. Summer season includes a thorough inspection of all equipment including snow makers, groomer, lift components, tower work, and grip and chair maintenance. Work on hydraulic systems, braking systems, rigging, and gasoline engines, as well as low voltage safety circuits. Outside of the winter season you may be assisting in other areas outside of ski to contribute to the resort. Requirements Experience in general mechanics. General knowledge of electrical and hydraulics is a plus. Must be able to work under timelines and pressure. Must be able and willing to work independently as well as part of a larger team. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is a must. This job requires the ability to climb and work at substantial heights and in all kinds of weather. Must be able to lift and carry loads up to 100 pounds. Valid driver's license necessary. Winter season requires working on weekends and holidays.
