Razorbacks run rampant over Crescent

WALHALLA — The Walhalla High School boys’ soccer team made Senior Night a night to remember, rolling to a 13-0 win over Crescent to cap off an undefeated run through the Skyline AA region on Monday in Walhalla.

Michael Caldera had a hat trick, while Cory Champion and Eric Moxley scored two goals apiece in the win for the Razorbacks.

Walhalla (16-4, 10-0 Skyline AA) will now await word on its opponent in the first round of the Class AA playoffs. The SCHSL seeding committee will hold its meeting to decide the bracket on May 2.

GREENVILLE — Walhalla High School’s Chrissy Cain scored two goals and assisted on another as the Razorbacks scored three times in the second half to pull away for a 4-1 win over Southside Christian on Monday in Greenville.

Tessa Moxley and Meredith Nix also had goals for Walhalla, and Nix and Alma Escamilla had assists in the win.

The Razors (16-2-1) will wrap up their regular season tonight, hosting Oconee Christian Academy for Senior Night at 6 p.m.

SENECA — The Seneca High School junior varsity girls’ soccer team defeated Greenville 4-0 on Monday in Seneca.

Amelia Stone scored a pair of goals for the Bobcats, and Haley Pearson had a goal and two assists in the win.

Seneca is coming off a weekend where it won its pool at the Easley JV Invitational with wins over Broome and Westside on Saturday.

Stone and Meredith Arrington scored goals for the Bobcats in a 3-0 win over Broome. Advancing to the championship round, Seneca knocked off Westside 1-0 on the strength of an early penalty kick by Savannah Prater.

The Bobcats (9-2-3) close out their season today, hosting T.L. Hanna at 5:30 p.m.
