Outdoor concert to feature four beach music bands

August 30, 2008 - 12:00 a.m. EST

CLEMSON — Clemson University may be located in the Upstate, but a bit of the beach will come to the lawn of Littlejohn Coliseum for Tiger Shag Friday, Sept. 12.
The concert will feature four beach music bands: The Embers, The Catalinas, the Out-of-Towners and The East Coast Band, as well as inflatable games, food and more.
Tickets are $15 plus applicable fees and are available now at the Littlejohn Coliseum east gate box office, TicketMaster outlets or online at ticketmaster.com. Clemson students and employees will receive a $5 discount. There is a limit of two tickets per Clemson ID.

“This will be a great event for the entire family to enjoy,” said Marty Kern, manager of Littlejohn Coliseum. “Last year’s Tiger Shag was a huge success, so we wanted to bring it back for a second year. We invite all fans coming to the football game that weekend to come out to Littlejohn and have a great time.”

Gates for the show will open at 5 p.m. with music starting at 6 p.m. Lawn chairs and blankets are permitted at the show, but coolers and outside food and drink are not allowed.
