SENECA — After months of waiting it’s time to celebrate the Hospice of the Foothills Foundation Christmas Tree Festival 2008. The venue is St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church on Bountyland Road.

This hugely popular, fund-raising event features a 4-day Arts and Crafts Sale and Coffee & Sweets Shoppe that is free admission for the public. This runs Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and includes free public viewing of the stunning trees and wreaths — from elegant to whimsical. Bring your friends, do some Christmas shopping and indulge your sweet tooth, all while supporting hospice.

The already sold-out luncheons feature Tuesday — Paesano’s; Wednesday — Pixie and Bill’s; and Thursday — Athens, each at noon.

Friday morning at 7:30 breakfast attendees will be treated to an appearance by celebrity guest speaker, Sam Wyche. A few advance tickets are left, $15.

Then put on your Christmas finery for Friday night’s gala Christmas Tree Festival Auction from 6:30 – 9 p.m. You may be the winning bidder on an exquisite wreath or tree to beautify your home! Heavy hors d’ouvres and live auction. Advance tickets only, $50.

Call Hospice of the Foothills Office, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, (864) 882-8940 and reserve your tickets. Cash or check only. Tickets may be picked up or mailed to you.

All proceeds go to Hospice of the Foothills.
