Private First Class Kyle J. Corcoran

Private First Class Kyle J. Corcoran of Mountain Rest graduated from Advanced Individual Training School at Ft. Sill, Okla. on Sept. 29 where he trained as a Fire Support Specialist. He is currently serving at Camp Casey in South Korea.

Corcoran is a graduate of Camden Military Academy in Camden. He chose the military for education, but primarily he wanted to serve his country and do his part during the times we are in. He loves the Army and the benefits he receives being a part of it.

He is the son of Linda Corcoran of Mountain Rest and John Corcoran of Hartwell, Ga. and the grandson of Lucille Weigel of Walhalla.

“We are so proud of him,” says his mother. “This is the first Christmas that he will not be with his family.”
