Clemson linebacker DeAndre McDaniel was not suspended by Clemson coach Tommy Bowden Monday, despite his arrest on June 21 in which he was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
CLEMSON — Clemson football coach Tommy Bowden will not suspend defensive back DeAndre McDaniel at this time.
Here is the statement Bowden just released on this matter.
"We continue to review information concerning this case, and I want to be clear that I take these charges against DeAndre McDaniel seriously,” Bowden said. "DeAndre remains a Clemson student, and I will allow him to be an active member of the football team at this time. We will continue to monitor the legal process as it develops. His status for our regular season competition is yet to be determined."
