Five injured in 3-car wreck

A three-car wreck involving a four-by-four truck, a sports utility vehicle and a car occurred Tuesday afternoon on North Highway 11 in Tamassee. Five people were injured and taken to Oconee Medical Center, with one of the victims requiring extraction from a vehicle. Picket Post, Salem Rescue and Fire, Walhalla Fire Department, Oconee County Emergency Services, Emergency Management Services, South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene. The condition and identities of the victims remains unknown as of press time.
