On April 28, the Walhalla Fire Department responded to a house full of smoke caused by a fire in the clothes dryer. An investigation found that the lent trap had not been properly cleaned, which caused the dryer to overheat and catch on fire. To prevent this, always clean the lent trap before each use and never leave home or go to bed with the dryer running.
