Oconee Emergency Response assisted the Mountain Rest Rescue Squad at Hidden Falls Sunday afternoon after a family had hiked from Oconee State Park to Hidden Falls and a woman in the party experienced chest pain. Oconee Medical Center paramedics, Oconee County Emergency Services personnel and Walhalla Rescue Squad were also involved. A Stokes Basket, a type of stretcher with a wheel attached, along with medical equipment, were carried to the woman. She was brought out without incident and no injuries occurred to any rescue personnel. The photo shows some of the rescuers pausing for a break after the recovery.
