WALHALLA — A West Union resident and Seneca businessman reported missing since Sunday evening has yet to be found, authorities said Tuesday.

James Thomas Orr, 62, was last seen at his residence, 115 Mountain Springs Road in West Union, about 7 p.m. Sunday and has not been heard from since, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reported.

On Monday, Oconee County Emergency Services volunteers combed the area around Orr’s home. Tracking dogs and a helicopter joined the search to no avail.

Oconee Sheriff’s Office investigators continue to work the case.

According to South Carolina Secretary of State business filing, Orr is the registered agent for Bounty Land Finance Inc., which is located at 110 Colonial Plaza Drive. Calls to the business as well as Orr’s residence went unanswered.

Investigators say Orr is believed to have left his residence on foot. He is described as weighing 380 pounds and standing 6’1” with gray hair and beard. He is thought to be wearing tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about Orr’s whereabouts should contact the Sheriff’s Office at (864) 638-4111.
