The Upstate's Dixie Keys Big Band entertains patrons. They are appearing at the South Carolina Apple Festival Sept. 6.
WESTMINSTER — The Upstate’s Dixie Keys Big Band, a 14-piece band formed in the mold of the great bands of the ’40s and ’50s, will be entertaining patrons at the South Carolina Apple Festival in Westminster at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6. Appearing with the band will be a pair of fine vocalists, Phyllis Morgan and Dave Keller. The band specializes in the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Count Basie, but also plays modern popular music in the style of the great dance bands.
