Daniel girls' golf wins three-way match

PENDLETON — The Daniel High School girls’ golf team scored victories over Byrnes and Pendleton, 169-183-190, respectively, in a three-way match, Thursday on the par-36 front nine at Boscobel Golf Course.

Daniel’s Grace Glaze and Pendleton’s Ellis Martin tied for individual medalist honors with even-par 36s. Elizabeth Hay and Megan Weaver added 43s for the Lions, while Bryony Higgins rounded out the scoring with a 47.

For Pendleton (0-1), Logan Martin finished with a 47 of her own, Callie Brothers shot a 48 and Katherine Howe carded a 59.

Daniel (4-0) returns to the links next Tuesday, going on the road to face J.L. Mann and Riverside in another three-way match.
