Clemson tight end Linthicum may transfer

CLEMSON — It appears Clemson sophomore tight end Brian Linthicum wants a transfer.

The Framington, N.M. native has supposedly asked for a transfer due to a lack of playing time. Clemson coach Tommy Bowden, however, said through University spokesman Tim Bourret, Linthicum will not be dressed for tomorrow’s game against The Citadel due to personal reasons.

Bowden is expected to talk to Linthicum on Monday. There will be no official word on whether the sophomore is leaving the team until that meeting takes place.
