SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium (Reuters) - German rookie Timo Glock is sure to stay with the Toyota Formula One team next season, Toyota motorsport president John Howett said on Friday.
"We have a multi-year contract with him and we are very happy," he told a Belgian Grand Prix news conference. "He's progressing well, he's quick and getting more and more consistent.
"So I think there's absolutely no hesitation that he will be with us next year and hopefully progress further and stay with us for more years.
"He has at the moment a very secure and bright future with us."
Glock, who won the GP2 support series last year, is in his first full season with Toyota after starting four races for now-defunct Jordan in 2004.
The 26-year-old, who replaced compatriot Ralf Schumacher at Cologne-based Toyota, has scored 15 points in 12 races this year including a second place finish in Hungary last month that equalled the team's best performance.
Toyota, who have Italian Jarno Trulli as their other driver, are fourth in the constructors' standings.
