SIX MILE — The Cliffs Communities recently debuted the 2008 Golf Magazine Dream House and opened a new Tom Fazio championship golf course at Keowee Springs.

Designed by Greenville Architect and Builder Allora, the 5,177 square foot, five bedroom/five bathroom luxury home sits on a 1.32 acre home site overlooking the 6th and 12th greens and 13th tee of the community’s new course.

With an innovative open floor plan full of natural light, every room in the home is engaged by the views. The home encourages gracious living and entertaining, particularly in the great room with curved walls, soaring fireplace and cathedral ceiling. A custom gourmet kitchen opens to another signature feature of the home, the screened porch: with a summer kitchen and fireplace.

Designer ID Studio Interiors blended the best of the scenery with Old World elegance and touches of European flair throughout the home. The dining room showcases a dramatic faux painted compass ceiling and rich details, while the bedrooms serve as personal sanctuaries with eclectic furnishings, hickory hardwood floors and cedar ceiling beams and trusses.

Fun for the young and young at heart abounds with terrace level billiards and gaming rooms that also connect to a stone porch and special outdoor vistas. For adults, the space is complemented by a custom wine cellar and wet bar.

However, it's the 350 square foot Full Swing golf simulator that is sure to prove most popular. Players use exclusive real time, seamless ball flight to play the world's best courses without ever setting foot in an airport — golfers may even compete in online tournaments.

Natural stone and cedar shake exteriors with a slate roof were selected to house tankless water heaters, recycled cellulose fiber insulation, and premium windows. An automatic sprinkler and drip irrigation offers efficient and responsible water use as well.

The 2008 Golf Magazine Dream House was conceptualized as an innovative respite keeping with the philosophy of The Cliffs at Keowee Springs.

Personal tours will be offered to those wishing to experience the home. To secure an appointment to tour the home, call (866) 742¬0947 or visit www.discoverkeoweesprings.com/dreamhouse .

The Cliffs at Keowee Springs is a 1,600 acre private community centered on the philosophy that wellness is a value that must be shared with the entire family.

The Keowee Springs Lodge and Spa resort is scheduled to open in 2010. It will be home to the Springs International Wellness Retreat, a full service spa, marina, beach club and extensive children's programs, including the 40 acre Camp Springs.
