WESTMINSTER — It didn’t take the West-Oak High School volleyball team long to make an impact on the Western AAA scene, as the Warriors trounced Belton-Honea Path 3-0 at home on Wednesday night in their first region game since moving up from Skyline AA.
The Warriors (11-1, 1-0 Western AAA) won their matches via scores of 25-8, 25-6 and 25-17, as they never looked back after falling behind 1-0 in the opening set.
From there, Heather Yoder held her serve for 11 straight points in helping West-Oak to the 25-8 win.
West-Oak again dominated the second set, as Morgan Black and Kayla Williams held their serves for 10 and nine straight points, respectively, as the Warriors cruised to the 25-6 win.
The Warriors will be back in action on Monday, when they travel to Woodmont for a 6:30 p.m. match.
