SENECA Sen. Lindsey Graham, who has had offices in Oconee County since first being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1994, is moving his regional office out of Seneca.
Spokesman Kevin Bishop confirmed Graham is moving his office out of the Eagles Nest office complex on Walnut Street to Exchange Street in Pendleton. The move to Anderson County was made to provide more constituent services and easier access for residents of Anderson, Pickens and Oconee counties.
Graham, who was born in Central and now resides in Seneca, was elected to his senatorial post in 2002. Bishop said the senator’s regional office’s move out of Oconee County is necessitated by his commitment to constituent relations.
“A thorough review of the Golden Corner area was conducted, and we determined the Pendleton site offered the opportunity to increase accessibility and expand our outreach efforts,” Bishop said. “Senator Graham remains committed to listening to his constituents and working to solve the problems they face. The new office location will help in achieving that goal.”
The new office at 124 Exchange St., Suite A in Pendleton will be open early next week.
