BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Guillermo Marino came off the bench to score two second-half goals as Boca Juniors rallied for a 2-2 draw with Argentinos Juniors on Sunday in the opening game of the Apertura season for both clubs.

In other Sunday results, Lanus defeated Huracan 2-1, Banfield won 2-0 against River Plate, and Colon and Velez were to play a late game.

In the match at La Bombonera, Marino scored in the 47th and 51st, canceling out early goals by Gabriel Hauche in the 31st and Nicolas Gianni a minute into the second half.

Boca struggled to get its offense working, missing playmaking midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme, who sat out the match with a one-game suspension.

The first-division Apertura season opened on Friday, a day after President Cristina Fernandez signed an unprecedented deal that put all the country's first-division football matches on free, terrestrial television, a move aimed at resolving the clubs' debt crisis.

In an agreement with the Argentine Football Association, the government will pay the clubs $155 million for rights to televise this season, more than double the $70 million a private broadcast consortium was paying. The previous agreement was rescinded a week ago by the AFA.

The top 20 clubs in Argentina's first division are reported to owe a combined $182 million to the league. The huge debt delayed the start of the season, forcing the government and football officials to find a solution.

In other matches Sunday, Santiago Salcedo scored twice in Lanus' win over Huracan. Salcedo, who is trying to replace Jose Sand — he was sold to Dubai club Al Ain — scored on a penalty in the 11th and from open play in the 31st.

Leandro Diaz scored for the home side in the 70th.

Uruguay forwards Santiago Silva and Sebastian Fernandez each scored in Banfield's victory over River Plate. Silva opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, and Fernandez made it 2-0 in the 33rd.

Other weekend results: San Lorenzo 3, Atletico Tucuman 1; Chacarita 1, Tigre 2; Arsenal 0, Estudiantes 2; Rosario Central 1, Racing Club 0; Gimnasia y Esgrima 0, Godoy Cruz 2; Independiente 0, Newell 1.
