SENECA — On a day the Seneca Police Department announced it had arrested an alleged child molester, Oconee County Sheriff’s Office deputies charged another.

Jeffrey Wayne Finley, 41, of Townville was brought into custody Thursday on multiple sex charges in connection with alleged encounters with underage girls in Oconee County.

According to the arrest warrant, the first incident occurred between 2002 and 2003 at a Timberlake One Circle residence outside of Seneca, where he allegedly fondled a 10-year-old girl.

The second incident is alleged to have happened between October 2005 and October 2007, when Finley reportedly molested a girl between the age of 10 and 12 in a trailer at Lawrence Junkyard.

Finley was booked Thursday at Oconee County Detention Center on charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and lewd act upon a minor.
