Friendship Fire Department responded to a car fire Wednesday evening, Jan. 7, 2009 at the Bountyland Quick Stop gas station on Wells Highway in Seneca. The 1998 Ford Escort owned by Lesley Carver caught fire shortly after reaching the gas station. Bystanders attempted to put the fire out with water hoses, but the fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters. Seneca and Crossroads fire departments also responded to the call. No injuries were reported.
