— A man allegedly beat his juvenile daughter and his wife during a drunken rage on June 30.

Thomas Dewayne Fulbright, 37, of 375 Port Bass Drive in Fair Play, has been charged with criminal domestic violence and assault and battery.

Fulbright’s wife called authorities after Thomas entered her apartment in Westminster and hit their juvenile daughter twice on the side of her head, the report said.

When she tried to stop the attack, Fulbright turned, shoved his wife and slapped her twice in the face.

Fulbright fled the scene before officers arrived, taking off into the woods behind the apartment complex.

When Officer Alexander entered the home, he observed red marks on both the wife and the child, the report said.

The family left the apartment to stay overnight with other family members in case Fulbright returned to the apartment later that night.

Warrants are out and active for Thomas Fulbright as authorities were not able to locate him after the incident.

I don't believe this story. If he hit the child on the side of the head, how did the cop see red marks? I want to know how this woman got the cops to believe her lies and back them up.

The side of the face is considered part of the head and red marks would be easily visible there. And if you look closely, red marks can be seen on the scalp when you move the hair.

    Ms. Fulbright,
As an assumed member of his family, you should also be concerned about the child's well-being. Wouldn't you think? I hope eveything turns out OK with this whole situation, but why would the cops lie about SEEING RED MARKS!!! I mean, COME ON!

When the cops know a person REALLY well, sometimes they help make charges stick. I know you can move hair and see marks on the scalp, but, it usually says scalp. Why would you let him in if he was in a "drunken rage"? Why would you let him near your kids? I don't want the kids hurt, thats why I'm concerned about the story not making sense. Are the kids being told to lie? Can she not protect them if he is that bad? I think there is alot more to this story and it should be investigated more.

He who leaves the scene in a hurry should have better sense if he were innocent....
