The Fair Play Fire Department responded with Oconee Medical Center EMS and Oakway Rescue to a wreck at Carolina Landing RV Park Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Units arriving found that the brakes on a parked pickup had released allowing the truck to travel down a steep hill and crash into a parked camper. The truck's owner and his wife were slightly injured when they tried to stop the truck, but they declined a trip to the emergency room. Damage to the pickup appeared moderate while damage to the unoccupied camper was heavier. SC Highway Patrol is investigating. (Photo by Steven Zahn)
