CAIRO (AP) — Mohammed Abu Treka scored twice to help Egypt to a 3-0 win over Rwanda in a World Cup qualifier Sunday.

Hosni Abed Rabbu also scored for the Pharaohs, who jumped from last to second in their group with four points, three back of Algeria. Winless Rwanda, which hasn't scored a goal in three qualifiers, went to the bottom of Group C with one point.

The five group winners will make it to the 2010 tournament in South Africa.

Abu Treka's header came in the 65th minute from a pass by Abed Rabbu, who scored on a penalty 10 minutes later. Abu Treka's second goal came in the fifth minute of injury time.

The Egyptians, who beat Italy and almost beat Brazil in the Confederations Cup before being eliminated on the final day of group play, mounted numerous attacks. None was able to break down Rwanda's defense, prompting Egyptian coach Hassan Shehata to make three changes in the second half.
