Well, okay, you weren’t losing a lot of sleep over paper clips and staples perhaps, but how about finding the best burger in two counties or the best place to get a good mixed drink? We’ve pinpointed those places as well with the newspaper’s first Best of the Best competition.

Hundreds of ballots were cast, with readers naming their favorites for everything from hot wings to hot dogs, doctors to lawyers, tire-mounters to nail-painters and mechanics to pet groomers.

You name it and your neighbors have shared their thoughts about who cooks it, fixes it or just plain does it right.

Along the way, we picked up a few funny comments such as the reader who suggested the best weight loss center was “don’t eat.”

We also were not quite sure what to make of the guy (we assume it was a guy) who said the best bedding store to be found was his own bed.
