WALHALLA — The School District of Oconee County’s Transportation Services department recently held its annual Bus Drivers Appreciation Breakfast at Seneca High School. Drivers received recognition in a number of areas. Transportation Director Sammy Grant is shown with Ruth Porter, middle, honored for 20 years of service; and Mary Jane Rice, a driver for eight years who served as team captain for this year’s Relay for Life event. The Transportation Department’s Relay for Life team, consisting of bus drivers and non-bus drivers, raised more than $3,500 for the American Cancer Society.
