Gina Oglesby is a licensed practical nurse at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation in Seneca. A staff nurse, Oglesby is responsible for dispensing medicines and taking care of the residents’ daily needs.

Originally from New Bern, N.C., she received her nursing degree in North Carolina 33 years ago. She says she became a nurse because she is a servant and enjoys taking care of people.

What does she find most rewarding? “Having the residents smile back at me,” says Oglesby. “They know they’re cared for, and they smile back at me. That’s important.”

In her spare time, she enjoys going to church and spending time with her children. She is married to Paul Oglesby and has two children. Avery will graduate from Seneca High School next month. Orry is attending college.
