Joseph Ben Marion
The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 58-year-old Liberty man with two counts of assault and battery with intent to kill in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred late Thursday.
Joseph Ben Marion, of Kennemer Lane, was transported to the Pickens County Detention Center to await a bond hearing. According to sheriff’s deputies, they entered a nearby residence to find two victims lying in a bedroom doorway with what appeared to be stab wounds to their abdominal areas.
The complainant told authorities that he and Marion, his neighbor, had been sitting in the living room together while the two victims were in the back bedroom. According to the complainant, Marion stood up without saying anything and proceeded to make his way to the victims. As he walked into the room, the incident report stated that Marion removed a small pocketknife, with an estimated four-inch blade, and began stabbing the first victim in the left side of the abdomen.
The incident report went on to state that the complainant said the second victim, a female, was then stabbed in the middle of the abdomen. After the first victim began punching Marion in the head, the suspect then fled the residence and the complainant contacted the sheriff’s office.
Both victims were transported by EMS to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
On Friday, the incident report stated that Marion returned to his residence and desired to turn himself in to law enforcement. Authorities then traveled to Marion’s residence and transported him to the Pickens County Detention Center without incident.

So he's sitting in the living room of his neighbor's house and out of the blue just decides to get up and go stab two people (one of whom was female, but the gender of the other wasn't specified. hm...) who are in a back bedroom of the same house?
There has GOT to be more to this story!
