Salem Rescue, Station 21 and EMS were on scene Monday on Sawmill Road, where an employee at a local mill suffered a “significant hand injury from a saw.” The dispatch came over the radio as a possible amputation, and the victim was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital. He is reported to be in stable condition, said Scott Krein of the Oconee County Emergency Services Office.
