The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office has issued warrants on two individuals, currently incarcerated at the Greenville County Detention Center, in connection to the weekend carjacking at a Highway 11 restaurant.
According to the sheriff’s office, the warrants charge Solomon John Every, 31, of Whitney Street, Marietta, and Marie Cordelia Morgan, 25, of Old Watson Mountain Road, Travelers Rest, with one count each of armed robbery and simple larceny.
The warrants state that at approximately 9:30 a.m. Sunday Every, wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, approached the victim in the parking lot of Aunt Sue’s Restaurant at Country Creek Drive and inquired about the restaurant. He then drew his weapon, a nickel-plated .22 caliber pistol containing duct tape, pointed it at the victim’s head and demanded the keys to the victim’s 1994 Toyota Tacoma truck.
Shortly after Every drove away, the warrant stated that he stopped and picked up Morgan as she was walking along the highway in front of the restaurant. The pair was arrested later that night by Greenville County authorities.
