WALHALLA The Cherokee Bear Clan of South Carolina, based in Walhalla with a large portion of its members from Oconee County, will dedicate a monument called The Spirit of Oconee at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in front of the Oconee County Courthouse that faces Short Street, is being held in conjunction with Native American Month. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
