Vassey/Harris
Olivia Vassey and Ashley Harris, both of Easley, S.C., were married on Oct. 3, 2009 at Table Rock Lodge in Pickens, S.C. officiated by the Rev. Ray White.
The bride is the daughter of Ray Wrenn and Nicole Dalton Vassey of Seneca, S.C. She is a 1997 graduate of Seneca High School and a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor of arts and a master of public administration. She is employed as Pickens County special projects coordinator.
The groom is the son of Wayne Harris and Ann Pearson Sewell, both of Spartanburg, S.C. He is a 1993 graduate of Woodruff High School and served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He received a bachelors degree in sociology from the University of South Carolina–Spartanburg, a masters degree in applied sociology from Clemson University and a masters degree in counseling from Webster University. He is employed as a counselor with Greenville Mental Health.
Melissa J. Thomas of Greenville served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Briggs, cousin of the bride, of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and Cohleen Vassey, sister-in-law of the bride, of Seneca. Keller Hudson of Duncan, S.C. and Gracie Taylor of Woodruff, S.C., both nieces of the groom, served as flower girls.
Father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Joe Davis, friend of the groom, of Spartanburg and Alex Vassey, brother of the bride, of Seneca. Dawson Hudson of Duncan, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Table Rock Lodge.
After a wedding trip to Abingdon, Va., the couple resides in Easley.
