Quarterback
After missing the early part of the season due to injury, Greenville has Patrick Langley back at quarterback. He is averaging more than 17 yards per completion and has seven touchdowns against five interceptions. Backup Rooke Crouch has 1,251 yards, 14 touchdowns and five interceptions with significantly more snaps.
Advantage: Greenville
Running backs
West-Oak is led at running by Adrien Bibb, who has 630 yards and six touchdowns, while Austen Maness has 467 yards and six touchdowns of his own. However, Austin Doyle, who leads the Warriors with 5.7 yards per carry and has 544 yards, may be out on Friday.
Advantage: West-Oak
Wide receivers
Chris Hall is the top option for the Red Raiders in the passing game, as he has 712 yards and eight touchdowns on 33 catches. Roderick Williams and Marquise Young both have more than 500 yards, while Joe Bowens has 206 yards. Bibb leads the Warriors with 17 grabs for 191 yards and a pair of scores.
Advantage: Greenville
Offensive line
Greenville has produced elite linemen in recent years, but the Red Raiders’ offensive line is helping them average just 3.8 yards per rush, though they are strong in pass protection. Meanwhile, the Warriors average 4.9 yards per carry, as senior Kyle Sanders anchors a strong offensive front.
Advantage: West-Oak
Run defense
Known most for a high-flying offense, the Red Raiders are strong on defense this season, especially against the run. Greenville is allowing just 1.7 yards per rush, as opponents average just 60 yards per game on the ground. Linebacker Malik Barnes is a North All-Star selection for Greenville.
Advantage: Greenville
Pass defense
The Red Raiders are almost as good against the pass as they are the run, as they’ve intercepted 23 passes this season. Tyrell Pearson leads the way with 10 interceptions, two of which he has returned for touchdowns. Patrick McElveen, Sam Rogers and Jerry Wickerson all have at least three picks for Greenville.
Advantage: Greenville
Special teams
A key on Friday night could be special teams, and the Warriors feel like they have an advantage in that department. Ethan Partee notched his second kickoff return touchdown last week, while Darrion Wheeler has a pair of scores as well. The Red Raiders are also susceptible to giving up long returns.
Advantage: West-Oak
