Blue Ridge Arts Council and Historic Ballenger House, 212 East South Third St., Seneca, partner to showcase area jewelers, potters and textile artists for an Art Affair at the Ballenger. This month-long event is perfect for holiday gift-giving. All work may be purchased during the exhibit. It opens Nov. 20, 5:30-8:30 p.m., during Seneca’s Downtown Go ’Round. The “Affair” goes to Dec. 12, Tues.-Fri. 1-5 p.m. and Sat. noon-3 p.m. A special exhibition day Dec. 5 from noon-5 p.m. is part of the Seneca Holiday Tour of Homes. (864) 882-2722.
MUSEUMS
Christmas at Ashtabula tickets may be purchased by calling (864) 646-3782 during normal business hours. This year’s event will be held on Dec. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and Dec. 16, 13 and 20 from 2-5 p.m. Tickets are $7 for ages 11 and over and $3 for children ages 5-10. Ashtabula is on Hwy. 88, three miles east of downtown Pendleton.

Seneca’s Bell Gallery, “Once Upon A Time” in Seneca City Hall will showcase the city’s history from its founding in 1873 to the present. Featured are 30 framed historical photographs chosen from Louise Matheson Bell’s 2005 book “Seneca, Visions of Yesterday.” The gallery, is featured on the SC National Heritage Corridor Arts Trail. From Thanksgiving Day –Dec. 25, “Anderson Lights of Hope” will be held at Darwin Wright Park in Anderson on highway 178; ½ mile from I-85 at Exit 21. Drive through an enchanting land of more than a million sparkling lights and 160 spectacular displays. Open every evening at 5:30 p.m. rain or shine. $5.00 for cars, $15.00 for vans and $25.00 for buses. Last year over 48,000 people visited.
