— Two Oconee County men were in jail Friday after being arrested on separate assault charges Thursday.

At 7:15 a.m., an Oconee County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Oconee Medical Center in response to a reported assault. A nurse said Marcus Daniel Allison had become violent and was being escorted out by another officer when he kicked the nurse and attempted to flee.

While in the deputy’s car, Allison reportedly hit his head repeatedly on the partition between the front and rear seats of the vehicle, and when an officer opened the car door, he spit blood on the nurse he had kicked, and allegedly bit one of the officer’s arms. He has been charged with assault on an EMS provider and simple assault and battery. He was at Oconee County Detention Center on $11,092.50 surety bond, Friday.

Later that day, deputies found themselves dealing with an assault in Fair Play, where they found a victim with a swollen left eye, a swollen nose and small cuts to his face.

The victim told officers that Ronnie Kipp Stancil, 20, barged into the camper trailer he lives in on the same property and asked for a cigarette and began screaming for food. He then allegedly assaulted the 54-year-old victim, stomping on him in the ribs and striking his face.

Stancil was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and taken to the detention center, where he remained Friday on a $100,000 surety bond.

Hmmm...let's take another look at the bonds set for these two.
$11,000 for ALL the one guy did to that poor nurse and the other guy gets $100,000 bond for freaky out, wanting to smoke and eat????
If this is correct,do we wonder WHY there is a shortage of health care workers???????????

I THINK THAT A JUDGE WILL ONLY LOOK AT THAT SITUATION DIFFERENTLY AFTER IT IS HIS OWN DAUGHTER, WIFE, OR MOTHER WHO IS ATTACKED.

MANY PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE THE DANGER, STRESS, AND INCREASED WORKLOAD HEALTH CARE WORKERS NOW FACE. AND IF THIS HEALTHCARE BILL PASSES, IT WILL GET MUCH WORSE.
