CENTRAL — Joshua Ivy, a senior from Quitman, Miss., has been named the Beef O'Brady's Student-Athlete of the Week at Southern Wesleyan University.
Ivy fired a front nine score of 3-under par 33 and then backed that up with a back nine score of 35 to shoot 68 which was his best tournament scoring round of the 2009 fall season. After shooting a second round score of 76, Ivy finished the tournament in a tie for 15th place.
The Warriors have one remaining tournament, the Wilmington Island Club Intercollegiate, in their fall season, which will be played on Oct. 26 and 27. The tournament is being hosted by Savannah College of Art & Design.
