CLEMSON — The men's basketball team will hold its annual Orange & White scrimmage on Friday at Littlejohn Coliseum. The intrasquad competition will tip off at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public and admission is free.

The Tigers got the 2009-10 season off to a great start last Friday with the second annual "Rock the `John" event. The men's team was introduced with a good crowd on hand. The highlight of the night was Head Coach Oliver Purnell repelling from the catwalk above Littlejohn Coliseum approximately 75 feet down to the main floor. A short scrimmage was held after Purnell's entrance as well.

Clemson returns 11 lettermen and two starters in Trevor Booker and Demontez Stitt. A preseason All-American by multiple publications and Web sites, Booker is the ACC's active leader in career rebounds (792) and blocked shots (204). He led the Tigers in scoring (15.3 ppg) and rebounding (9.7 rpg) last season when the team finished with a 23-9 overall record.

The team will hold a public exhibition game against Francis Marion on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The Tigers open the regular season Friday, Nov. 13 against Presbyterian College at 8 p.m.
