Willie,
In regards to an area of the Mill Hill in Seneca — the back side of the Mill Hill — F Street, is completely impassable. Responsible parties will not fix the ruts and people can’t get through there. If there was a fire or medical emergency, the county has not done one thing to fix this road. Complaints have been written and called in, and the councilman for that area will not fix it. Would you please find out who they need to get in touch with to get something done about this?
Willie says:
I’ll check it out. Meanwhile, you may have just reached that “who.” Let’s see, private party involved, county road department, county councilman … you’ve pretty well covered the bases.
Willie,
I read the disposition of the charges against Lana Leigh Stephens Justice who embezzled $85,622.01 from the First Baptist Church of Clemson. I found it ironic that her name is Justice since, obviously, there was none. However, from a creative financing point of view, I must applaud Judge Ned Miller’s sentence, as it has afforded me a keen understanding of South Carolina jurisprudence. As a result, I am now aware of the “penalty” for stealing large sums of money and that places me in a position to offer a business proposal. I would like any church that wishes to give me $85,622.01 cash at zero interest for a period of seven years. In exchange, I agree to stay home for two years and repay the money after I have had those seven years to leverage the “loan” into $250,000 in the stock market. As an additional incentive, I will promise not to cause the church to incur attorney’s fees or adverse publicity. Since my goal is to amass a retirement nest egg of $2,500,000 and stay home for the next 10 years, I am willing to extend this opportunity to every church in the Upstate. I anticipate that it

will meet with their favorable consideration.
Willie says:
And aren’t you just an enterprising kinda guy?
Willie,
Can you please let me know why your paper would print the entire name of some folks and others have names omitted when they are related to former officials in the county? This is not right! Just because you are poor, your name gets drug through the mud. But if Daddy is someone with pull, you get a free get out of jail card!
Willie says:
I ran your comment by the editor and he doesn’t know what you’re talking about. If you have specific examples, let him have’m and he’ll see what the situation was.
Willie,
Can you tell me why a person who works for one of the town water departments in Oconee County still has out of state tags and has lived here for a number of years? This is wrong. Why do we not have a stiffer law on this. He is not paying taxes in our county or state!
Willie says:
I’m with you on this one buddy. Some people drive around on out of state tags and temporary plates forever. Instead of ticketing octogenarians for not wearing their seatbelts, the police should crack down on these folks who aren’t paying their fair share of vehicle taxes.
Willie,
Will you please let me know why the lady from West Union who pled guilty to stealing from Clemson First Baptist Church, full name was not printed in the paper? Why are you guys trying to cover this up? She is a 1983 graduate of Walhalla High School. She was Lana Leigh Coward. Now Lana Leigh Coward Stephens Justice.
Willie says:
The paper printed the name as it appeared on police and court records and as it was provided by the solicitor’s office. None of them apparently hold the family grudge you do. I’d suggest you take all of your names to church this week and ask the Good Lord to forgive you for wanting to victimize a whole family for the actions of one member.

Willie , I took a friend to walmart yesterday to get her head shaved because she has breast cancer and her hair had started coming out , I was really surprised that they charged her full price for the shave while selling packets of awareness for breast cancer on the counter , I know they need a paycheck too but wouldn't it have been nice if a chain as big as Walmart would not only promote awareness for breast cancer but for those that come in there when they have the dreaded disese and have to get all their hair shaved off to at least get a discount , Walmart could write this type of thing off as charity or something , I am a vivid Walmart shopper but I was just shocked how they handle this type of thing especially when they have these packets on their counter for sale promoted breast cancer , I guess I see finally , no matter how big a chain is , it's all about the money , my friend didn't need a free haircut but , it would have made her and me feel good if they had offered a free cut for this cause .
