SENECA, S.C. — Dennis Wayne Crowe, 52, of 506 Quincy Road, died Saturday, June 27 at his residence.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today, July 1 at Seneca Baptist Church with burial to follow in Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Seneca Baptist Church prior to the service. The family is at the home of the mother, 929 Robinhood Drive, Walhalla, S.C. Memorials may be made to the United Way of Oconee County, 409 E. North 1st St., Suite A, Seneca, SC 29678-2768.

A native of Oconee County, Mr. Crowe was the son of Lila Ruth Crenshaw Crowe Powell of Walhalla and the late Douglas Leon Crowe. He was a hydro station supervisor for Duke Power’s Jocassee Hydro Station and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Mr. Crowe was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Mr. Crowe is survived by son, Matthew Wayne Crowe of Seneca; daughters, Catrina Lynn Harding and Brittany Nicole Crowe, both of Seneca; brother, Mike Crowe of Walhalla and two grandchildren, Cohl and Kate.

In addition to his father, Mr. Crowe was preceded in death by stepfather, Rev. Tirel Powell.
