Edward Leon Douglas

SENECA, S.C. — Edward Leon “Candle” Douglas, husband of Joan Douglas, of Dogwood Cove Drive, passed away on Tuesday, June 30 after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Atlanta, Ga. on Dec. 31, 1941, to Veronica and Kenneth Douglas of Swanton, Vt. and Lake Worth. Fla. He grew up in Swanton, Vt., where he graduated from St. Anne Academy and Vermont Military Academy and served as an officer in the Vermont National Guard. He worked for IBM in Burlington and later transferred to South Carolina, living in Seneca. He later worked for Eastman Kodak as a field engineer retiring in 1991. He loved fishing and boating with his family as well as his music collection.
