Daniel J. Savarese June 30, 2009 SENECA, S.C. — Daniel J. Savarese passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, June 30 surrounded by his loving family: his wife Lise; his daughters, Cynthia, Cheryl and Christine; his son, Craig and brother, Ron and his wife, Gail.
Services for the family will be held in Newtown, Penn. Donations can be made to The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901.
Dan was a devoted member of the Catholic Church from his time as an altar server as a young man. He and Lise were members of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Clemson, S.C.
Dan graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Manhassett, N.Y. where he met his first wife, Virginia Marino. They were married and were blessed with four lovely children. Ginger preceded him in death in 1972. He joined the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged in 1963. He was an alumni of St. Johns University and New York University where he earned his MBA. He traveled internationally most of his working career. He and his family lived in Hong Kong, Rome, Italy, Brussels, Belgium and Lausanne, Switzerland where he met and married his devoted and loving wife of 28 years, Lise.
Dan leaves behind a most loving family Lise, his wife; daughters, Cynthia Lutchaunig and husband, Martin and grandchildren, Christian, Andrew and Daniel; Cheryl Reidl, her husband, Lance and grandchildren, Lea and Matthew and Christine Savarese; son, Craig, his wife, Gabrielle and grandchildren, James and William and siblings, Marion Dimitri, Elisa Ballerini and brother, Ron Savarese.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mario and Catherine Savarese.
