SALEM, S.C. — Rollin “Bud” Oscar Smith, 84, of 9 Lookout Lane, died Thursday, July 2 at Regency Hospital in Greenville, S.C.

The family will receive friends from noon – 2 p.m. Saturday, July 4 at Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home. The family will be at the home at other times.

He was born in Moorehead, Minn. as the son of Rollin Oscar Sr. and Mary Fox Smith.

Surviving are his wife, Dolores M. Smith of the home; son, Steven Smith of Salem; daughters, Eileen Sarro of Durham, N.C. Sally Reed of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Mary McCann of Erie, Penn. and Katherine Greene of Erie; sisters, Mary Louise Hilyard of San Jose, Calif., Jeanette Hood of Panama City, Fla., Barbara Otte of Alexandria, Va. and Kathleen MacAyred of Libertyville, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Rocki of Libertyville, Ill.
