CLEMSON, S.C. — David Henry Mixon Sr., 68, of 24 Dove Circle, died Monday, Nov. 2 at Oconee Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons, with burial to follow in Old Stone Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 at the funeral home. The family is at the home of a son, Robert Mixon, 505 Berkley Drive, Clemson.

Born in Clemson a son of the late George F. and Mildred Cochran Mixon, he retired from Clemson University in 1992 and was a member of First Baptist Church, Clemson.

Surviving are three sons, David Henry Mixon Jr. and Robert Mixon and wife, Lori, all of Clemson and Michael Mixon and wife, Tammy of Roanoke, Va; one daughter, Cindy Mixon of Fountain Inn, S.C.; one brother, Robert F. Mixon of Clemson and four grandchildren, Nicholas Robert Haile, Loren Marie Mixon, Miranda Lee Mixon and Karly Ann Mixon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Allen Mixon and one sister, Dorothy Mixon Gage.
