SENECA, S.C. — Jason "Joinz" Keith Burns, 29, of 200 Hemlock Drive, died Saturday, Oct. 31 at his home with his loving parents, Jerry and Linda Burns by his side.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family is at the residence. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made in Jason’s memory to Hospice of the Foothills, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.

Born in 1980 in Seneca, Jason was shot on Oct. 16, 2003 and has been loved and cared for by his parents. He was loved and will be missed by all of his aunts, uncles and cousins. He attended Bountyland Church of God.

Surviving in addition to his parents are: sister, Tina Marie Burns of Huntington Beach, Calif.; maternal grandmother, Betty Whitfield; daughter, Brianna James and former fiancée, Jessica James.
A sister, Tracy Ann Burns; maternal grandfather, T.B. Whitfield and paternal grandparents, Garrison and Frances Burns preceded him in death.
