SENECA, S.C. — Barbara Jean Griffin, 76, of 106 Windsong Way, died Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Cottingham Hospice House.

Per her wishes, there will be no memorial services. Those who wish to send a memorial may do so to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672 or the Cancer Center of the Carolinas, 3 Butternut Drive, Suite B, Greenville, SC 29605 or to the charity of one’s choice. No flowers, please.

A native of Oconee County, S.C., Ms. Griffin was the daughter of the late George H. and Ada Kowalski Griffin. Ms. Griffin was a member of Walhalla Presbyterian Church. She was a lifelong educator and retired from Clemson University as a professor. She loved gardening, the mountains, the beach, her family, close friends and her dogs. She had many loyal friends and will be greatly missed.

Ms. Griffin is survived by sister, Gayle Griffin and devoted friend, Martha A. Aly.
