WESTMINSTER, S.C. — William Granville “Skip” Marcengill, 74, of 111 Cedar Wood Ranch Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Oconee Medical Center.

A private burial will be held at First Baptist Church Cemetery Friday, Nov. 6. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Sandifer Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made in Mr. Marcengill’s memory to Hospice of the Foothills, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.

Born in Oconee County, he was a retired mechanic with Kendall Company and a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are brothers, Ira, Ray, R.B. and John Marcengill and sisters, Ollie Mae Smith, Robbie Collins, Rena Harrison and Beulah Haney.

His parents, Samuel Edward and Beulah Richey Marcengill, brothers, Martin, Clyde, Albert and Bud Marcengill and sisters, Elsie Marcengill and Marie Riddle preceded him in death.
