FAIR PLAY, S.C. — Christopher Brian Whiten, 17, of 3601-B Old Dobbins Bridge Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 4 at his home.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. today, Nov. 6 at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted. The family is at the home of his parents, Brian and Bridget Whiten, 558 Mountain Road, Westminster, S.C.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of Brian and Bridget Denise Porter Whiten.

Surviving in addition to his parents are wife, Carley Elizabeth Smith Whiten; son, Nathan Christopher Whiten; sister, Grace Whiten; paternal grandparents, Johnny M. and Jean Durham Whiten; maternal grandparents, Leonard and Clara Woolbright Porter; paternal great-grandfather, Clayborn Durham and brother-in-law, Cory Smith.
