Frank McCabe November 4, 2009 WESTMINSTER, S.C. — Frank Linwood McCabe, 76, of 108 Jefferson Drive, died Wednesday, Nov. 4 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 6 at South Union Baptist Church in Westminster. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at Bush River Memorial Park in Columbia. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service on Friday. The family received friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 at Sandifer Funeral Home. The family is at the residence.
Born in Columbia in 1933, he was a retired Master Sgt. having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. McCabe served during the Korean Conflict and two tours of Vietnam. He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Balentine, S.C.
Surviving are wife, Betty B. McCabe of the home; sons, Frank McCabe of Pelion, S.C. and Darren McCabe of Westminster; granddaughter, Keely McCabe of Westminster; step-grandson, Shawn Nelson of Pelion; brother, James E. McCabe of St. Matthews; half-brother, Robert McCabe of North Carolina and sister, Betty Jo Cotton of Eastover, S.C.
His parents, Emmitt C. and Evelyn Corbett McCabe preceded him in death.
