SENECA, S.C. — Joan S. Kuerth, 53, of 111 Bobolink Drive, died Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Cottingham Hospice House.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at Bountyland Church of God. Burial will follow in Oconee Memorial Park. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. today, Nov. 6 at Sandifer Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or memorials in Joan’s memory may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.

Born in Oconee County, Joan was a homemaker and attended Bountyland Church of God. She was very creative and loved arts and crafts.

Surviving are husband, James Carl “Jim” Kuerth of the home; son, Shane Carl Kuerth and fiancée, Brittany of Seneca; daughter, Stephanie Smith Hoffman and husband, Jeffrey of Duncan; two grandchildren, Bradley Scott Wayne Owens and Ethan Carl Hoffman; brother, Kenneth Rochester; sisters, Kathryn Barnett, Ann Thornhill and Hazel Knight and stepbrothers, Haskell, Kenneth, Billy and Cecil Hawkins.

Her father, Edward Rochester; mother, Lois Murphy Hawkins and stepfather, Woodrow Hawkins preceded her in death.
